SHOTS TOMORROW

Well, tomorrow is a dreaded day! Jack has his 6 months doctor's appt. which is exciting because we'll find out how much he weighs and learn what new things we can feed him. (that's another post) BUT . . .tomorrow will also be the shots, I think I take it harder than he does, the minute they come in with them, I tense up I know I try not to but. . . which makes him nervous instantly and the rest is just a blur for about 10 minutes. He's ok about 3 minutes after it's over but as he gets older the look on his face just breaks my heart. If he only knew that the pain while horrible is temporary and that we are doing this to protect him and help him. Reminds me of my relationship with God so many times I've wondered what God is doing with my family, and I just want the "pain" to end but God in a still quiet voice reminds me that he is working through us to do something marvelous and we just need to trust him to protect us. It's amazing how many things God is teaching us through Jack. Thank you Jesus for Jack. : )

Milestone number 685

Well, I'm not sure if it's actually 685 but something amazing happened on Monday. For the last couple of weeks our baby who lovingly sleeps through the night for us. Has been crying in his sleep sometimes I have to rock him back to sleep or even feed him a bottle. It's not every night but on and off. He's been getting cranky during the day when he's normally very happy and content. Drooling like a crazy man. Can you see where this is going? Well mommy couldn't I thought there was no way that my baby could be teething already. Well on Monday I had jury duty and when I called Bryan he said Jack had just been mister cranky pants. When I got home that night he was still super cranky I noticed when I was holding him he had 2 little teeth just about to come through on the bottom! OH MY and by that night the one tooth was through! MY BABY has a tooth! : ) Let the crankiness begin!

FACEPLANT

So, I don't have a picture for this one but last Friday we were at the church setting up for the weekend and Jack was playing on the playmat while I set up. He was reaching for a toy that was off the play mat and managed to fall forward and "rub" his face into the carpet. The church's carpet is nice but it's the indoor outdoor style so it's not soft at all. Needless to say he got his first rug burn on his face!! OUCH! I felt horrible but it's all better now. It's his first of many ouchies!
